Finance Assistant

Location: The Hague (Den Haag), The Netherlands

We are looking for a full-time Finance Assistant, starting in January, for an initial period of 1 year with the view to becoming permanent.  
We offer an informal work environment and compensation according to experience.

Responsibilities

  • You will undertake a range of tasks, primarily across the American, British and Dutch entities, including:
  • Processing accounts payable
  • Bank postings and reconciliations
  • Processing creditor payments
  • Journals, general ledger postings and daily bookkeeping
  • Registration of fixed assets
  • Assisting with month end preparations (e.g. depreciation, accruals, reconciliations etc)
  • Assisting with intercompany reconciliations
  • Other ad hoc tasks relating to finance/bookkeeping

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Educational level: MEAO-BA/MBA
  • Relevant working experience (at least two years)
  • Fluent in Dutch and English in speaking and writing
  • Good knowledge of and affinity with IT systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an advantage
  • Motivated and well organised

  • Quick learner and able to carry out tasks efficiently and accurately

Technical Lead

Location: The Hague (Den Haag), The Netherlands

PixelPool is an international, world class retail and brand visualization company, with offices in five countries. We are looking for a full time Technical Lead for our in-house development team. Together with this team you will work on innovative 3D applications for Windows and iOS, as well as virtual reality experiences for some of the world’s leading brands.  This includes projects from an international client base and you will collaborate with our artists and developers in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a dedicated team of developers and game artist to develop core systems for our clients in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Coordinate with your team to define development timeframes, dependencies, and areas of risk to be considered in project planning.
  • Develop framework, new features, reusable components, and documentation.
  • Attend client calls as technical expert and offer advice or qualified recommendations based on clear and relevant information.
  • Participate in team training, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively and feel comfortable working in an international team
  • Knowledge of Development Lifecycle methodologies, Project and People Management
  • Proven experience building software (games or apps), ideally that are consumer facing and content driven
  • Proven ability to write documented, unit testable, C++ code
  • Ability to quickly find creative solutions to difficult problems
  • 5+ years of Application Development experience with 2+ years in a Lead position
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 is a huge pre
  • Network and/or web development experience is a pre

Assistant Project Manager

Location: The Hague (Den Haag), The Netherlands

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who will help to manage and coordinate production for interactive 3D projects. Together with our team of passionate digital artists and developers, the Assistant Project Manager will be working on innovative and creative interactive projects for our portfolio of international clients. Primary tasks will be assisting coordination of 3D production, deliverables, deadlines, and project related communication with both clients and internal production teams.

Responsibilities  

  • Organize and structure necessary documentation for (multiple concurrent) projects (mainly in Excel and Google Sheets)
  • Coordinate and keep track of production and ensure deadlines are being met
  • Keep clients informed of progress, schedule changes, and deliverables
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Tech/Art Leads, and internal production teams located in The Netherlands, United States and Bulgaria

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets with a strong knowledge of formulas and data management
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Excellent problem solver, highly organised and able to quickly grasp complex production workflows
  • Flexible, versatile, performing well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Self-starting but collaborative team player, with great attention to detail
  • Great sense of ownership and responsibility for deliverables
  • Knowledge of 3D visualisation, fashion, retail and brand design- and/or previous work experience with a creative agency is a plus
